Access to Information and Privacy

We are responsible for complying with the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.

Our Access to Information and Privacy Coordinator is responsible for processing requests and posting summaries of completed Access to Information and Privacy requests.

Access to Information and Privacy requests can be made online using the Government of Canada’s Access to Information and Privacy Online Request Service. Click here to make a request.

Please note: Each request made under the Access to Information Act must be accompanied by an application fee of $5.00, cheque or money order made payable to the Receiver General for Canada.

Access to Information Act RequestsThe Access to Information Act gives every Canadian citizen, individuals who live in Canada, or corporations in Canada the right to request access to information contained in federal government records that are not of a personal nature. This also applies to organizations that fall under Schedule I of the Access to Information Act, including us.

Privacy Act RequestsThe purpose of the Privacy Act is to protect the privacy of individuals with respect to their personal information. The act controls the federal government’s collection, retention, use and disclosure of personal information.
