Role:

  • Chief Safety Officer, Occupational Health and Safety Officer, Operational Safety Officer, Administrative Monetary Penalty Officer
  • Leads the development and continuous improvement of regulatory oversight practices for the Operations/Health, Safety and Environment team
  • Analyzes and evaluates operator regulatory compliance and management systems, with a focus on emergency response plans and procedures, safety plans, and training and competency of personnel
  • Provides advice regarding compliance and enforcement actions within areas of authority

Biographical Snapshot:

  • More than 25 years of health, safety, and environmental experience, including over 10 years experience with the CNSOPB
  • Completed training in a variety of role-related Health, Safety and Environment topics, including emergency response and incident command systems, auditing, and incident investigation
  • Contributed to the federal and provincial governments’ efforts to include occupational health and safety under the Accord Acts legislation
