- Advises on geophysical matters relating to oil and gas exploration, development and production.
- Studies geological and geophysical data to better understand the geology and hydrocarbon potential of the Canada-Nova Scotia offshore area.
- Reviews geoscience aspects of industry submitted activity authorizations, reports and plans.
Biographical Snapshot:
- Matteo has 18 years of petroleum geoscience experience.
- Prior to joining the CNSOPB, Matteo worked as Geophysicist in the Oil and Gas Industry in Calgary, Alberta and Stavanger, Norway.
- Has written a scientific blog for 10 years with focus on scientific computing in geoscience; he has published articles on the use of colors in seismic visualization and interpretation.
- Matteo has completed several technical training courses in Earth sciences, seismic interpretation and analysis, and scientific computing.
