A Message from Keith MacLeod, Chairperson of the Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB)

ARCHIVES:

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Christine Bonnell-Eisnor to the position of Acting Chief Executive Officer while we determine next steps to fill the position permanently.  This is effective November 1, 2019 as Stuart Pinks transitions out of the organization to begin his retirement.

Christine has been with the CNSOPB since 1999 and has worked in a number of roles within the organization, most recently as Director, Regulatory Affairs & Finance and Secretary of the Board.

Christine graduated with a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia in 1999 and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Nova Scotia. She also completed a Masters of Business Administration from St. Mary’s University in 2007 and was awarded an Engineers Canada Fellowship Award in 2008.  In 2017, Christine was named the Progress Women of Excellence – Management and Professions.

The Board is confident that Christine’s regulatory expertise gained over the last twenty years will allow her to successfully lead the CNSOPB and maintain the organization’s high standards of health, safety and environmental regulation in our offshore.

Christine is looking forward to leading our dedicated staff and building on our relationships with stakeholders and Indigenous communities as she takes on this role.

On behalf of the Board, I would like to congratulate Christine on her new role as Acting Chief Executive Officer with the CNSOPB and extend our sincere thanks to Stuart Pinks for his leadership over the past 17 ½ years.
