Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board Announces Results of Call for Bids NS21-1

(Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada) – The Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board’s (CNSOPB) Call for Bids NS21-1 has resulted in no bids. The parcels that made up Call for Bids NS21-1 are no longer up for bid and will remain as Crown land.

Call for Bids NS21-1 was issued on May 3, 2021 for two nominated parcels that are located in the southwestern Scotian Slope adjacent to Equinor Canada Ltd. exploration licences. An opportunity to submit written comments specific to the areas included in Call for Bids NS21-1 was provided from May 3, 2021 to July 5, 2021. A summary of comments received can be found at www.callforbids.ca.

The Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board is the independent joint agency of the Governments of Canada and Nova Scotia responsible for the regulation of petroleum activities and resources offshore Canada-Nova Scotia.
