CNSOPB Issues Revised Canada-Nova Scotia Benefits Plan Guidelines
The Canada-Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board (CNSOPB) has approved revised Canada-Nova Scotia Benefits Plan Guidelines.
The Accord Acts establish the statutory requirement that a Canada-Nova Scotia Benefits Plan must be submitted to, and approved by, the CNSOPB prior to the approval of any development plan, or the authorization of any other work or activity in the Nova Scotia Offshore Area. The Canada-Nova Scotia Benefits Plan Guidelines have been designed to assist Operators in the preparation of a Benefits Plan, and have consolidated current practices and processes with the historic guidelines and directives.
The CNSOPB revised the guidelines in consultation with the public, industry and governments.
